Description | The Naranjal-Tenguel stretch of 45.5 km seeks to improve connectivity between the provinces of Guayas, Azuay and El Oro , and optimize travel times. Intervías company is the concessionaire. The 30 years contract with Minister of Transportation and Public Works (MTOP) was signed in October 2020. The total investment of USD 260 million, contemplates the rehabilitation and expansion of 2 to 4 lanes, the construction of the Naranjal Lateral Pass that exceeds 5.45 km in length, operation and maintenance of this strategic section for productive activities and cargo transport of the national port system.
