Description | NASA plans to build a $20 billion moon base near the lunar south pole over the next seven years. The development will occur in three phases, starting with increased lunar missions to test technologies, followed by delivery of semi-habitable infrastructure and transportation, and culminating in establishing a long-duration human presence with heavier infrastructure.
