The proposed financing forNegocio Agrícola San Enrique S.A. de C.V.(NASE or the "Company"), one of the main agricultural and aquacultural producers in Sonora, Mexico, involves a secured senior loan of up to US$30 million (the "Financing" or the "Loan"), which will be made up of: (i) a loan of US$10 million with an 8-year tenor, including a 12-month grace period, and (ii) a revolving loan of up to US$20 million with disbursements of up to 390 days and a commitment period of 2.5 years, which can be renewed at discretion of IDB Invest. The proceeds from the Loan will be used to finance the Company’s investments and working capital needs behind its growth and productivity, generally speaking sustainably (the “Project”).The Project development goals are: (i) to increase the production and productivity in the agriculture and aquaculture primary sector; and (ii) to encourage the growth of exports, the national supply chain and employment. The Project will thus contribute to improving food security in the region, in particular in terms of food availability and stability.
