Description | The Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Kumbh Mela Authority sanctioned an additional Rs 56.9 crore for expanding Nashik airport in Ozar, raising the project cost to Rs 629.41 crore. The expansion includes construction of a new integrated terminal building, apron development, airside infrastructure, transportation facilities, airport security systems, vehicle circulation areas, and other allied works. The project aims to increase passenger handling capacity from 300 to about 1,000 passengers per hour ahead of the Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027. |
