Description | According to the requirements of ESA2010 the CFC and Capital stocks have to be estimated using the perpetual inventory method (PIM). PIM model has to be adjustable to developments in line with the latest EU recommendations, and to be easily used by national accounts compilers in practice. The current PIM model was developed more than 10 years ago in MS Excel and it has a number of shortcomings. It is planned to replace the model with more effective software solution. It is expected that novelties implemented during the project will reduce the time limit necessary for production and dissemination of CFC and Capital Stock data. The FIXCAP Task Force recommendations will be examined and if necessary enhancements to the PIM model will be incorporated, that will improve comparability at European level. |
