The development objective of the National Dairy Support Project for India is to increase the productivity of milch animals and improve market access of milk producers in project areas. There are three components to the project. The first component is productivity enhancement. This component will aim to increase bovine productivity through improved animal breeding and nutrition services. The second component is milk collection and bulking. This component aims to increase market access of milk producers by investing in village level milk collection and bulking facilities. The third component is project management and learning. This component will support the management, coordination, and monitoring, learning and evaluation efforts related to the project.
