Description
Description | The E+ project record in Palestine over the last three years shows that applicants have won important projects both as main applicants or partners in regional projects. This considerable funding channelled from the EU Commission to support education and youth in Palestine requires important coordination to ensure visibility of the EU interventions in Palestine, proper exploitation of results, the sustainability of the many outputs resulting from these projects, sharing of good practice among HEIs to benefit the sector of higher education and to impact the modernisation of policies at country level. The National Office (NEO) has consulted with office stakeholders in order to prioritise its actions. This coordination effort resulted in a set of objectives to address the national priorities through a series of interventions and visibility actions to create synergy and effective coordination, not only within the Erasmus+ running projects but also with the other projects that are being implemented in the country. In addition to promoting the Erasmus+ calls for proposals and improving the visibility of the Erasmus+ programs, The NEO will work to create needed synergies between the activities of the various stakeholders (HEIs, Ministry of Higher Education, HEREs, the donor community in Palestine, and the EU delegations). The NEO director will assist the European Commission, the Ministry of Higher Education, the Erasmus+ project managers, and HEREs through creating thematic clusters around the 5 key themes: the Digital education and digital business transformations, relevance of the education services, the internationalisation of HEIs, Recognition of qualifications, and policy reform at institutional and national levels. The NEO will achieve these missions through disseminating information, assisting applicants and participants, supporting policy dialogue, and maintaining contact with local authorities, EU Delegations and the international donor community. |
