National Gallery New Wing Extension

The National Gallery in London is undergoing its biggest transformation in 200 years with a new wing designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma. The project includes demolishing the existing St Vincent House to build a new building clad in light-coloured stone, featuring a roof garden with views of Leicester Square and the London skyline. The extension will provide additional space for larger and more flexible exhibitions, with public facilities and temporary galleries on the main floor and art from the late 19th century to present on the upper floor. The project is part of the wider Project Domani and is expected to cost £750 million.
