Description | In May 1997, Road King Infrastructure formed two joint ventures with SOEs in Shanxi Province for the construction, operation and management of two additions to Highway 108 - the 17km Taiyuan-Yuci Highway and the 16.6km Yuci City Bypass. Road King took a 65% stake in the project companies in return for a total investment of HK$ 228 million (US$ 29.4 million). Both projects opened for operation in June 1997. Toll rates range from Rmb 5 to Rmb 10 per vehicle on the Highway, and from Rmb 5 to Rmb 20 on the Bypass. Road King funds its project from internally generated funds and long term debt. This includes a US$ 138 million syndicated loan and US$ 140 million 10-year fixed rate notes arranged in 1997. None None |
