Description
Description | India's National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP), launched in 2019, has expanded significantly in scale and composition by March 2026, comprising approximately 14,563 projects with a total projected investment of about Rs. 213 trillion. The pipeline covers 33 sectors and 79 sub-sectors, focusing on logistics infrastructure, energy and power, construction and infrastructure, and water management. Despite a dip in the number of new projects added in FY2026, the value of additions increased, indicating a shift towards larger, capital-intensive projects. The pipeline highlights sectoral priorities such as logistics efficiency, energy security, urbanisation, and sustainability, with regional investment disparities across India. |
