National Reconstruction Process

The general objective of this TC is to collaborate with the Government of Honduras in the tasks related to the reconstruction process at the sector level. This process implies medium- and long-term strategies in priority areas and sectors where a national effort can be achieved. On the other hand, the Government asked the Bank to concentrate its efforts in the housing, potable water and sanitation, and natural disasters prevention areas. The specific objectives are: (a) to support for selecting concrete areas of action, designing the related plans and specific procedures for the execution of the components included in the reconstruction, and (b) to strengthen the technical and managerial capabilities of the institutions responsible for the reconstruction, in order to improve their performance.
