National Study to Improve Internet Quality in Georgia

planned

Georgia's Communications Commission (ComCom) has launched a nationwide study to upgrade the country's internet infrastructure. The study aims to reduce service gaps, improve speed and reliability, stimulate competition, and produce policy recommendations to support Georgia's digital growth. The initiative focuses on identifying systemic barriers, enhancing operator cooperation, and developing Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) to improve digital services by allowing local traffic exchange and reducing dependence on costly international routes.
