National Veternary Institute

National Veterinary Institute (NVI) was established at Debrezeit/ Bishoftu in 1964 with 40 persons .It is one of the most well known veterinary vaccine producing institutions in Africa with its multidisciplinary professional staff having long years of experience. The institute has reached the level of using state of the art equipment's and materials for biological production and vaccine related research. NVI has a project plan to build new poultry vaccine production facility based on the GMP guideline of building pharmaceutical product manufacturing facility in its Bishoftu compound . The main objective of the project is to fill the gap of the country and other African countries veterinary vaccine needs. It needs collaboration with Foreign direct investment giving minor stake to cover the cost of machinery and related cost.

High
