Description | The National Water Carrier Project is a major national project in Jordan aimed at providing nearly 40% of the Kingdom's drinking water needs. The project will supply 300 million cubic meters of water annually, which is close to the capacity of all the Kingdom's dams and about three times what the Disi project produces. It will increase the water supply percentage in the Kingdom to 40% of the current level and double the annual per capita water share from 60 to 110 cubic meters. The project will also increase the number of days of water supply from one day to three days a week across all governorates of Jordan. |
