This project aims to cover the duration of the 9th and 10th cycle of EUYD in Croatia, where Croatian NWG will, by the end of 2024, put great efforts in conducting representative, quality and interactive consultations on the proposed EUYD topics; organize quality dialogue(s) with young people and decision-makers; and in bringing EU institutions, decision-makers and other relevant actors closer to young people in Croatia. Doing so, we will strenghten cooperation between key stakeholders in the EUYD process in Croatia and develop additional skills and abilities of youth and youth organizations through educational activites, and strengthen their capacities for independent implementation of further training on the topic of youth participation. In addition, through public consultations on EUYD cycle topics in local and regional communities (together young people and decision makers) we will gain insight into the needs and obstacles faced by young people in participating and running at the local / regional level so that we could add to the quality development of youth policies on Croatian and EU level. Proposed project activities will strengthen young people's citizenship competences and the feeling of belonging to the society and the EU in a way that they can seize opportunities and relate to EU values. By assuring timely and quality information on participation possibilities as well as on the overall topic of EUYD cycles, through consultation and direct dialogue between decision-makers and young people, and through continuous partnership with relevant stakeholders we are strongly supporting the implementation of the EU Youth Strategy and its priorities with this project proposal. NWG will at the same time work on broadening the network of those who will be able to actively join the consultations process, but also to work on the implementation of the recommendations and conclusions of the EUYD process at the local and regional level.
