Description | The overall objective of the project is to reduce the impact of natural and health disasters as well as the foreseeable effects of climate change on the populations of the South-West Indian Ocean, which is in line with the 2015-2016 programme. Action 1: Promote the integration of natural and health disaster risk management into the national policies of the South-West Indian Ocean countries in the context of climate change Action 2: Strengthening the resilience of people in the South-West Indian Ocean to the risks of natural and health disasters and the consequences of climate change Action 3: Responding effectively to natural and health disasters using appropriate human and material resources Action 4: Strengthen the capacities of actors in the South-West Indian Ocean by establishing a regional centre of expertise, training and innovation dedicated to risk management and climate change. |
