Description | The project NBOX1 is a hyper-cloud data center in Nairobi, Kenya, launched by the Schneider Electric, France, and IXAfrica - a leading developer and operator of hyperscale-ready data centers in Kenya. It is officially operational from July 20, 2024. The facility is valued at $50m, funded by an investment from Helios Investment Firm, which acquired a majority stake in IXAfrica in December 2022. The Nairobi campus is built on land, previously owned by Schneider Electric and powered by Kenya’s renewable energy grid.
