The N.C. Department of Transportation launched an interactive online tool called Projects Near Me, which allows the public to explore a map featuring a wide range of state transportation project data. The tool is searchable by address, project ID, county, or highway division, and includes filters for project types such as aviation, bicycle and pedestrian, bridge and structure, ferry, highway, public transportation, rail, and other miscellaneous projects. It also highlights projects of high public interest, public engagement, or future projects, providing detailed information and milestones for projects funded in the current State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).
