Description | NCP Chlorchem, a leading producer of chlorine and water treatment chemicals in South Africa, partnered with Terra Firma to launch a 27 MWp multi-phase behind-the-meter solar programme at its primary manufacturing site in Johannesburg. The project aims to power the facility, which is critical for providing safe potable water to millions in South Africa, by integrating rooftop, carport, and ground-mounted solar systems. The project started with a 1.1 MWp pilot in 2023, followed by a 10 MWp second phase nearing commissioning, and an additional 17.5 MWp under construction, with full completion expected by the end of 2026. |
