Description | New Delhi Municipal Council launched a 24x7 water supply pilot project at Vinay Marg to provide uninterrupted drinking water supply to residents. The project covers around 550 connections, mostly government quarters maintained by the Central Public Works Department. It includes installation of a SCADA system for real-time monitoring and control, modern VFD-based motor pump sets at the Vinay Marg boosting station, IT-enabled instrumentation, automation systems, and data analytics to enhance monitoring, transparency, and accountability. Essential electrical improvements will be carried out in the existing pipeline network. The project was approved at a cost of about ₹1.4 crore and is expected to be completed within five months. |
