NEG8 Carbon Electrostatic Direct Air Capture System

NEG8 Carbon has developed a modular, electrostatic direct air capture (DAC) system that extracts carbon dioxide directly from ambient air. The system features proprietary adsorber hardware and real-time dynamic controls to optimize capture and release processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing energy use. Initially demonstrated in Ireland in 2022 with a capacity of 1.2 tonnes of CO₂ per annum, the system is designed for scalable deployment and cost-effective operation. A pilot project in Canada is scheduled for 2025 as part of a strategic plan to commercialize tens of thousands of units by 2040 and remove up to 100 million tonnes of CO₂ annually by 2050.
