Neogenyx Fuels RNG Facility at Nebraska Cattle Ranch

US renewable fuels company Neogenyx Fuels and beef producer Adams Land & Cattle have started construction of a renewable natural gas (RNG) facility at a feedlot in Nebraska. The facility will use anaerobic digestion technology to process manure into biogas, which will be upgraded into pipeline-quality RNG for use as a low-carbon transportation fuel and other energy applications. The project includes eight anaerobic digesters generating over 4,400 standard cubic feet per minute of biogas, expected to produce around 1.2 million MMBtu of RNG annually. Digestate byproducts will be reused onsite as livestock bedding and agricultural fertilizer. Canada-based Anaergia Inc secured a CAD-58-million contract to provide turnkey manure handling, processing, and digestion systems for the project.
