Description | Neptun Deep is the largest offshore gas project in the Romanian Black Sea with estimated recoverable reserves of approximately 100 billion cubic meters of natural gas. The project aims to increase domestic gas production, reduce reliance on imports, and enhance regional energy security. Drilling started in March 2025 on the Pelican South field, with four wells planned before moving to the Domino field. Production work for the jacket and topsides is underway in Italy and Indonesia, pipeline manufacturing in Greece, and onshore construction of the natural gas metering station, control centre, and microtunnel in Romania. |
