Description

Description

With this TA project we aim (objectiveWith this TA project we aim (objective) to write a Concept Note/ Full Proposal for the LIFE Integrated project ‘Netherlands National Strategy on Circular Economy, Accelerating Resource Efficiency’. The Integrated Project will be based on implementation of the Dutch Circular Economy Strategy for the Netherlands. The aim is to have achieved a fully circular economy by 2050, with 50% less use of primary raw materials (minerals, fossil fuels and metals) by 2030. Achieving national and EU targets in waste management, and planning for 2020-2030 to be able to respond to the requirements of the Roadmap to a Resource Efficient Europe and Circular Economy Package. It will focus on five high-priority supply chains and sectors: biomass and food, plastics, the manufacturing industry, construction, and consumer goods. (See: https://www.government.nl/documents/policy-notes/2016/09/14/a-circular-economy-in-the-netherlands-by-2050 and https://www.government.nl/documents/leaflets/2016/09/22/a-circular-economy-in-the-netherlands-by-2050). In order to do meet the objective, the TA will enable us to (activities) form a project team, make a project plan, actively involve stakeholders, organise meetings and write the concept note/ Full Proposal documents. With the main achievement being a professional and adequate Full Proposal that will (when granted) help the Netherlands in accelerating the transition to a circular economy. The expected results and impact of this TA project will be to engage and involve stakeholders throughout the Netherlands, from national to regional and local level, from governments, to citizens, businesses, knowledge institutes, non-governmental organisations etc.. The LIFE integrated Project will (if granted) enable the acceleration of the circular economy transition though behavioural changes, more circular procurement, business innovations, new business models, scale-ups, and knowledge acquiring, sharing and dissemination.
