Netwey is a startup founded in 2018 with the aim of bringing internet, in a sustainable way, to the homes of typically underserved sectors of the population. Netwey sees as a business opportunity, with potential for social impact, to help close the digital gap in Mexico and collaborate in the economic human development of the country. In its short life, Netwey has connected more than 90,000 families in less than two years (more than 450,000 people) and has the goal of bringing its service to 500,000 homes (approximately 2.5 million Mexicans) in the next 5 years, and thus facilitating digital inclusion, access to information, education and social mobility. Currently and despite its short life, it operates in 17 states of the Republic and its objective is to reach a national presence in 2024.
