Neves Lithium Project

under construction

The Neves project is a vertically integrated mining and processing industrial complex in Brazil, designed to produce 150,000 tonnes per year of lithium oxide concentrate. The project aims to support the global battery supply chain for electric vehicles and energy storage systems, sustaining about 5,000 direct and indirect jobs in the Jequitinhonha Valley, Minas Gerais State. The project has a definitive feasibility study showing a 145% internal rate of return and an 11-month payback period, with operating costs of $489 per tonne against market prices of $2,300 per tonne. Contracts for engineering, procurement, construction, and assembly have been finalized at or below budget levels.
