Description | The project involves building a new acute care hospital located northwest of Queensville Sideroad and Leslie Street in East Gwillimbury. It is part of the redevelopment of Southlake Health's existing hospital in Newmarket and aims to provide expanded acute and post-acute care services including medicine, surgery, orthopedics, rehabilitation, maternal and child health, and pediatric mental health. The hospital will feature increased inpatient capacity, a new emergency department with diagnostic imaging, and upgraded infection prevention and control measures. Concurrently, the existing Southlake hospital in Newmarket will undergo renovations and modernization to expand inpatient beds and emergency capacity. |
