New Airport at Dwarka

planned

The Devbhumi Dwarka district administration has identified nearly 300 hectares of land near Vasai village, about 12 km from Dwarka, for a new airport. The government owns about 45% of this land, with the rest belonging to private holders. The district collector's office is preparing to initiate the land acquisition process under the state's policy framework. This is the third attempt to identify land for the project, with earlier proposals rejected due to negative feasibility reports. The project aims to improve connectivity to Dwarka, a major pilgrimage site, and also serve strategic Air Force needs. The land will be handed over to the state civil aviation department for development after acquisition and regulatory clearances.
