New Amalga Gold Project Environmental Infrastructure

Grande Portage Resources Ltd. has applied for a Special Use Permit to install environmental monitoring infrastructure at the New Amalga Gold project in Southeast Alaska. The infrastructure includes meteorological data collection stations, stream gauging sensors, satellite uplink communications, and power infrastructure to support environmental studies and ongoing monitoring during construction, operation, and closure of the mine. The project design excludes an on-site ore processing plant, opting for off-site third-party processing to minimize environmental impact and reduce construction costs.
