Description | The New Amalga Gold Project is an underground gold mining project located approximately 25 km north of Juneau, Southeast Alaska. The project involves selective underground mining with sensor-based ore sorting and offsite processing at third-party facilities. It features a 7-year mine life with total production of 1.05 million ounces of gold shipped. The project includes construction of a 5.2 km access road, surface infrastructure such as administrative offices, maintenance shops, fueling facilities, backfill batch plant, and water treatment plant. Power will initially be generated onsite using diesel generators with potential future grid tie-in. Material will be transported via truck to a barge dock at Cascade Point, then barged to British Columbia for overseas processing. |
