Description | Renovation and expansion of New Brunswick's historic 122-year-old train station to modernize and expand one of the busiest transit hubs along the Northeast Corridor line. The project includes sidewalk and exterior improvements, a new ticketing center with elevator and waiting areas, platform renovations and extensions to accommodate 12-car trains, expanded pedestrian transfer passages, modernized waiting areas, new entrance signage, new trainway and building systems, and landscaping enhancements. It also addresses existing issues such as a leaky roof, basement flooding, and an outdated sprinkler system. |
