Description

Description

The project involves the construction and delivery of the new Caledonia High School in Rosyth, replacing the existing Inverkeithing High School with a modern, state-of-the-art secondary school. The £88 million development provides accommodation for more than 1,700 pupils and includes flexible teaching spaces, specialist classrooms, digital learning facilities, collaborative areas, sports and wellbeing amenities, and landscaped outdoor spaces. Designed to meet Passivhaus standards, the school incorporates high levels of energy efficiency and sustainable building practices, significantly reducing energy consumption compared with conventional school buildings. The project was delivered through a partnership between Fife Council, BAM Construction, Hub East Central Scotland, the Scottish Government, and the Scottish Futures Trust, with the new facility scheduled to open to pupils in August 2026.
