The project involves the creation of a completely new Construction Code to replace the existing Consolidated Building Act, which is over 18 years old. The new Code aims to provide a legislative framework that supports urban regeneration, environmental sustainability, land consumption reduction, and building safety in line with European and 2030 Agenda objectives. The reform includes principles such as non-joint professional liability, digital building files and registries, and updated technical construction standards. Critical issues such as property legitimacy certification, dual compliance in seismic zones, and urban planning coherence need to be addressed.
