Description | The project involves the phased demolition of the existing Jamaica bus depot to make way for a new facility. The project provides for the creation of a temporary bus stand to accommodate buses from the current bus depot during construction. The one-story building will consist of 272 standard parking spaces, three bus wash lanes, two chassis wash stations, an indoor bus wash station, fifteen maintenance bays and rooftop bus parking.It is also planned to construct a three-story administrative building at the northwestern end of the site, which will be connected to the new bus fleet by a closed bridge. The project will help in the transition to a 100% electric bus fleet. |
