New Juazeiro Bifacial PV Power Project

The New Juazeiro Bifacial Solar Power Projectconsists of the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a 187 megawatt peak (“MWp”) bifacial photovoltaic power plant and other interconnection facilities to be located in the state of Bahia, Brazil (the “Project”). The Project will sell power through bilateral power purchase agreements with large industrial energy intensive users and to the spot market.The Project’s total cost is estimated at US$140.7 million, of which IDB Invest will finance up to US$90 million through a combination of senior and subordinated loans, denominated in United States Dollars and Brazilian Reais, and IDB Invest’s administered funds. Through this operation IDB Invest seeks to contribute to the Government of Brazil’s goal to diversify the country’s electricity generation mix by adding renewable solar power in order to reduce the impact of droughts in an energy system heavily dependent on hydro generation.
