Description | A new $270 million Pennsbury High School is planned to be built with a size of 497,000 square feet. The school will include a three-story academic wing, a 1,000-seat auditorium, a large media center/library, and athletic facilities including a pool and wrestling room. The school will accommodate up to 3,000 students and is scheduled to open for the 2029-30 school year. Construction will start with a groundbreaking on June 4, 2026, and is expected to be completed by August 2029. The new school will be built on the south side of the current campus along Hood Boulevard, with separate areas for bus loops, student parking, and staff parking. Existing high schools will continue to operate during construction, and the old buildings will be demolished after completion. |
