New Police Station Design Project

planned

A U.S. city council has launched a formal search for a design team to develop a new police station. The project emphasizes safety, sustainability, neighborhood integration, and community-focused design. The selected design team will guide the project from initial concepts through detailed construction documents, coordinating with construction managers or design-build partners. The design aims to balance security, transparency, and long-term flexibility, incorporating features such as welcoming lobbies, community meeting rooms, and secure operational areas. The project also prioritizes environmental performance and site planning to separate public and secure areas, with an emphasis on cost control and budget management.
