New project for establishing a glass bottle manufacturing plant

Dede privates limited company was established in 2020 to manufacture glass bottle with a total investment capital of 80 million USD . The project is to be located at Debrebirhan town of Amhara regional state . The plant is to produce food grade glass bottles to be supplied to the beverage industries, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics industries with an installed capacity 2 million tons per year. The promoter has received 54,000 square meter land from town administration, where currently, the civil construction of the factory is fully completed and the local promoter is looking for international partnership for capital infusion through equity with a minority stake. The capital infusion will solve the existing shortage of foreign currency to purchase modern machines, which will expedite the completion of the project, majorly due to shortage of funds and impact of Covid-19 pandemic.
