Description
Description | Tata Steel Limited awarded John Cockerill India Limited a contract for a new Push-Pull Pickling Line (PPPL) and Spray Roaster Acid Regeneration Plant (ARP) at its Tinplate Division in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. The project includes complete engineering, equipment supply, and supervision for erection and commissioning. The pickling line has a capacity of 350,000 tonnes per annum, handling strip widths up to 1350 mm and thicknesses up to 3.8 mm, running at speeds up to 120 m/min. The ARP regenerates hydrochloric acid from used pickling liquor, recovering over 99.5% of usable acid and producing high-purity iron oxide as a by-product. |
