The project implements a structure for economic development in the space industry. The main objective of the Centre of Excellence is to support regional companies in developing their opportunities to participate in business in the new space economy. The Centre of Excellence’s main objective is to support regional companies in developing their opportunities to participate in business in the new space economy and commercialise existing space data. Conditions have been developed in the space industry that allows much cheaper processes to be implemented in space than in the past. To help the region take a share in these new economic activities, the centre will ensure an understanding of the latest technologies, as well as the ability to implement and use them. The Centre shares knowledge and conduct demonstration projects to bring regional companies to the level required to independently manage their own space-related business activities. The Centre cooperates with regional education systems and development companies and promotes skills necessary to build and maintain a workforce.
