Description | The new State Hospital in Jamestown, North Dakota, is a modern facility designed to address mental health challenges with about 140 beds, an increase of 19 beds from the old facility. It will be smaller in size than the current hospital complex and will provide various treatment services including inpatient psychiatric treatment, substance abuse services, forensic services, and secure inpatient evaluation and treatment for individuals deemed sexually dangerous. The hospital will also include amenities such as an arts room, bank, barber, botanical garden, chapel, fitness areas, group therapy space, library, and teaching and vocational spaces to support rehabilitation. |
