The project involves the design and delivery of New York City’s first combined sewer overflow (CSO) storage tunnel, a major underground infrastructure system intended to capture and store excess stormwater and wastewater during heavy rainfall. Stretching approximately 3.25 miles, the tunnel will have the capacity to hold tens of millions of gallons of combined sewage that would otherwise overflow into nearby waterways. The scope includes construction supervision, engineering services, and the development of associated facilities such as shafts, connections to existing sewer networks, and control systems.
