It provides seamless access to the city centre and waterfront, traversing three key precincts within the Newcastle CBD: West End, Civic, and East End. The project includes urban design and landscape architecture services, with a focus on connectivity, pedestrian amenity, integration, urban fabric, and urban renewal. It is the first project in Australia to implement wire-free light rail technology in the public domain, allowing for enhanced street tree planting and improved public realm amenity. |
