Next Generation Arkansas Power Generation Plan by Entergy

Entergy announced the Next Generation Arkansas plan to invest in approximately 2,600 megawatts of new generation and repower about 1,600 megawatts of existing generation, subject to approval by the Arkansas Public Service Commission. The plan includes a 450-megawatt natural gas facility at Ironwood Power Station in Hot Spring County expected in 2028, a 750-megawatt natural gas facility at Jefferson Power Station in Jefferson County expected in 2029, and improvements to the Arkansas Cypress facility with 600 megawatts of solar generation and 350 megawatts of battery storage expected in 2028. The plan also includes licensing renewal and equipment upgrades at Arkansas Nuclear One producing approximately 1,800 megawatts of electricity.
