Description | The NextGen 2025 proposal aims at engaging the Italian and Slovenian cross-border “next generation” in the ongoing debate on the future of Europe and its values today. All the proposed activities are also part of the preparatory work for the European Capital of Culture 2025. The proposal will engage more than 100 students from high schools' districts located in the cross-border area: in Italy and in Slovenia, which will have the possibility to interact with Town's cities representatives from three cross-border municipalities. It will consist of two workshops, one Award Ceremony, one study visit in Brussels, as well as individual/ shared activities done by the youngers and evaluation of their work. a) 1st Workshop in Italy - What the EU can do for you and what can you do for the EU? Speaker's presentation, followed by an interactive Worksop in the context of the Conference of the future of Europe. Students will discuss and present concrete proposals to improve the way in which the EU works not only in terms of institutional dynamics but also of its policies and instruments. b) 2nd Workshop in Slovenia - Next generation gears up for the European Capital of Culture 2025. Students will have the possibility to learn about the activities foreseen for the ECOC 2025, presented by the GO!2025 team, and suggest activities that will further engage the young generation in creating new content for the ECOC programme. Specific tasks will be given and students will have a selected period of time to create visual/ written works that will present their ideas, values, hopes and real solutions for the European Capital 2025. c) Awards Ceremony EGTC GO Assembly meets the students -– EGTC GO Assembly, which includes representatives from the three founding municipalities, will discuss with the students their ideas and will select the best proposals for the future of Europe as well as activities for the European Capital of Culture 2025. d) Study visit to the European Parliament |
