Next Generation Professional Higher Education (NEXT GEN PHE) has two overall objectives: • Support PHE institutions, staff and most importantly students during the recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic. Young people have been most impacted in terms of their educational, social and professional development. During the European Year of Youth, EURASHE will do its part by working closely with students and graduates, inviting them to our events and developing guidelines on how they can be supported. • Build capacity among PHE institutions to become more resilient, dynamic, inclusive and relevant for society and the economy. This will be done through working together in Commmunities of Practice to make institutional changes as well as reinforced cooperation with partners from the worlds of work and government. EURASHE is the EU level association of PHE providers, comprising 56 members that cover over 600 individual institutions with 1.5 million students across 25 countries. Under fresh leadership since the second half of 2021, NEXT GEN PHE will also conclude the ongoing participatory process of cocreation with its members to adopt a new four year strategy that contributes to the Von der Leyen priorities, most notably the twin (green and digital) transition. Much more than before, EURASHE will ask its members to concentrate not just on what they are good at but what they are good for. NEXT GEN PHE will strengthen the operational capacity of EURASHE while producing 11 specific deliverables, including policy papers, guidelines for members and the wider HE community, webinars and an annual conference. The project covers all objectives of the call, the four von der Leyen priorities embedded in the Erasmus+ programme, with a focus on skills and social / territorial inclusion.
