"The goal of the project ""Next stop - peace"", proposed by the two Macedonian publishers, Begemot and Skaznuvalka, is the translation, publication, distribution and promotion of 6 high-quality literary works from 6 different geographical and cultural contexts of Europe. It showcases the cultural, linguistic and poetic diversity of contemporary European literature, presenting the works of some of the best-known European writers. The unifying framework of all books is the theme of conflict. In all selected works, the medium of fine literature is used as a platform for intercultural and interpersonal understanding, as an opportunity to nurture the culture of dialogue and tolerance. The titles will raise awareness and thoroughly educate the audience. The project is tailored in a way to cover multi-generational target groups, spread the message of peace in several languages through different literary genres, and ultimately - directly influence the community. All this, through a literary engagement that will promote reading and embed the ideas of humanism and collaboration as opposite of crisis. To encourage an innovative approach to informing and instilling society on sensitive topics, the project will initiate cultural conversation and shape tendencies that will enrich and support development in the educational and informative spheres of society.
