NextGen Nano Agrivoltaics Pilot Programme

planned

NextGen Nano is launching a pilot agrivoltaics initiative in West Africa using transparent organic solar film technology to combine food production with renewable energy generation. The project aims to demonstrate climate-controlled agriculture in greenhouses while generating renewable electricity in off-grid and energy-constrained environments. It focuses on cultivating nutrient-dense crops and supporting cooling, refrigeration, and community energy needs, with potential applications in medical cold-chain infrastructure. The initiative also aims to improve dietary diversity, reduce nutrition-related health burdens, and support local employment and skills development.
