Description	The Marin Municipal Water District planned to increase capacity at the Nicasio Reservoir to boost Marin County's water supply. The project faced backlash from residents over flood concerns and experienced ballooning cost estimates, rising from an initial $10 million to $15 million to an estimated $37 million to $54 million. Due to these increased costs, the district decided to terminate the project as it was no longer economically viable or a responsible use of ratepayer money.
