Nice Airport multimodal passenger hub: Final studies

The project covers the final studies for the Nice Airport multimodal passenger hub and is part of the Global Project entitled “Project for Phases 1 & 2 of the Provence Cote d’Azur New Line”. It builds on the detailed studies completed under project CEF21-FR-TG-LNPCA-PH1-Hubs. The Nice multimodal passenger hub will offer international, European, national and regional connections via the various transport modes transiting the hub: international rail services, proximity to Nice international Airport, tram station, bus station, motorway in easy reach and cycle path. The new multimodal hub has the following objectives: • to support modal shift by offering seamless connections between railway, tram, bus services and active modes, • to establish a connection between Nice railway station and Nice Cote d’Azur international airport, • to increase rail services by 50% and provide a halt for high-speed trains, • to ensure accessibility for passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility (PRM) The final studies cover the completion of the final design studies and the preparation of the technical tender documentation for the construction works planned to start in 2026. The Nice Airport multimodal hub should be in service by 2029.
